Atlanta’s rising rapper Stacks100 sat down with Southern Tea Report for an exclusive interview, sharing insights about his journey, inspirations, and upcoming projects. Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Stacks100 moved to Atlanta’s east side, where the city’s vibe turned him into a better artist. He revealed that his EP Midnight Hours is set to drop on Black Friday, featuring collaborations with Gaten and Diamond, and hinted at future projects with Young Ralph.
Stacks100 described his sound as “lyrical trap/party music,” blending up-north lyricism with southern beats. Growing up with musical influences like Money Man and Jeezy, Stacks100 is focused on making “get money music” with meaningful messages. His goal is to remain authentic, stressing that not everyone has to be a street or gangsta rapper to succeed.
While Stacks100 admits it’s challenging to navigate Atlanta’s competitive music scene, especially as an outsider, the streams from behind-the-scenes listeners keep him motivated. He shared a humorous creative process, saying he often gets his best ideas while on the toilet, particularly for writing hooks.
On future aspirations, Stacks100 dreams of collaborating with Money Man and Moneybagg Yo, confident that their shared “get money” mindset would make for an unstoppable track. His advice for aspiring artists? “Don’t stop, keep stacking days. It only takes one record to blow up, so apply pressure and listen to constructive criticism.”
